Bright Star

A sweeping, heartfelt tale featuring a bluegrass score. Set against the vibrant backdrop of North Carolina in the 1920s and 1940s, this deeply emotional tale explores love, loss, and the transformative power of redemption. When literary editor Alice meets a young soldier just home from World War II, she is reminded of the secrets of her past. Alice sets out on a journey to understand her past revealing long buried secrets.

She Kills monsters
She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
Murder on the Orient Express
Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express is a thrilling mystery packed with suspense, secrets, and unexpected twists. When a passenger is found murdered aboard the luxurious Orient Express, legendary detective Hercule Poirot must unravel a web of clues and uncover the killer before the journey reaches its end.

Grease
Grease is a high-energy musical filled with catchy songs, big personalities, and plenty of 1950s fun. Follow Danny, Sandy, and the students of Rydell High as they navigate friendship, romance, and growing up in this feel-good story about being yourself and finding where you belong.

You can purchase them in one of these ways:

  1. Online via eTix: Visit the eTix website and search for the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium or Johnston Community College events to find and purchase tickets.
  2. Phone: Call the Bruce and Nancy Johnson Box Office directly at 919-209-2099. They can provide information on ticket availability and assist with your purchase.
  3. In Person: Visit the Bruce and Nancy Johnson Box Office at Johnston Community College. The staff there can help you with ticket purchases and answer any questions you might have.
  4. Click on the Purchase Tickets button for each event below.

Tickets through any third party vendor may not be redeemable, and may be a scam. JCC nor eTix are liable for tickets purchased through any third party ticketing system.

Every person attending a performance, including babies in arms, must have a ticket.

All guests are subject to a search and/or security check in accordance with campus policy regarding weapons and the general statute provided, prior to entering the building. Please arrive 25-45 minutes before your showtime in order to allow time to go through security. 

Our Paul A. Johnston Auditorium has 1,007 seats, with a removable row of seats in Row L that are accessible to wheelchair users or audience members who are not able to use stairs. All other rows in the auditorium can only be accessed by stairs.
