for fresh meals, quick snacks, and a relaxed atmosphere between classes. Craving a
caffeine boost? We've got you covered with a variety of Starbucks coffee options—perfect
for powering through study sessions or catching up with friends.

The Rudolph A. Howell & Son Environmental Learning Center, or Howell Woods, spans 2,800+ acres of wetlands, forests, and creeks in southeastern Johnston County. As a hub for outdoor education, recreation, and conservation, it offers hiking, camping, kayaking, fishing, and guided programs that connect visitors with nature while supporting JCC’s mission of environmental stewardship and learning.
The Paul A. Johnston Auditorium is the heart of performing arts at Johnston Community College. This state-of-the-art, 1,000-seat theater hosts a variety of events throughout the year—from live music and theater productions to dance performances, guest speakers, and community celebrations.
Whether you're a student stepping onto the stage for the first time or a guest attending a show, the auditorium offers a professional setting where talent shines and stories come to life. It's also home to the college’s vibrant performing arts programs, where students can learn the art of performance, stage production, and more.

JCC students may only utilize the Fitness Center in the Smith Building as part of a class or school approved activity.
Our on-campus child care center serves children ages 1 to 5 and helps train future early childhood professionals. As a lab school and model program, we’re proud to be 5-star rated by North Carolina—the highest possible—and the only center in Johnston County accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
We welcome all families—both from JCC and the community—regardless of background. Our dedicated staff and high standards show our strong commitment to quality care and early learning.
Students may qualify for financial assistance from the Financial Aid office.
Services offered to the public ages 13 and older. Advanced students provide these services under the careful guidance of instructors. Our students look forward to serving you!

The Library, located in the Learning Resource Center, offers a variety of academic support services for students, including tutoring, study areas, and a Makerspace designed to let your creativity thrive.
