Online classes offer flexibility and convenience, but they also take commitment and the right tools. Here's how you can find out if online learning is right for you — and how to prepare for success.

You should be able to:
- Type and use a mouse
- Write and format documents
- Join online discussions and video calls
- Install software
- Computer with Windows 10+ or Macbook with macOS 10.12+
- 2.0 GHz processor or faster
- 8 GB RAM or more
- 256 GB+ storage
- Webcam, microphone, reliable internet
- Chrome or Firefox browser
Avoid: Chromebooks – many tools won’t work on them.
