Academic Advisors

Academic Advising

Johnston Community College offers personalized academic advising to help students plan their courses, set achievable goals, and stay on track for success. Each student is assigned a dedicated advisor or advising team who will work with them one-on-one to choose the right classes, develop career plans, and ensure academic progress. Advising also supports career exploration, with access to career assessments and coaching to find paths aligned with students' interests and goals. The advising staff guides students through registration each semester and provides resources for both academic development and career planning. Whether students are exploring options or ready to commit to a program, the team is available to support success from the first step through graduation or transfer.
