Truck Driver Training

The North Carolina Truck Driver Training School is the longest-running in the nation and has served as a model for truck driving schools across the country.

Applicants must:

  • Have advanced English Skills
  • Be 18 Years of Age or Older
  • Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
  • Have a Valid NC Driver License
  • Have a Current Class A Commercial Learner Permit.
  • Be able to pass the DOT Physical Test and receive a negative DOT Drug Test result.

Program Overview

The Truck Driver Training Program at Johnston Community College (JCC) offers the skills and certification you need to become a professional commercial truck driver.

In just a few short weeks, you can earn your Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and hit the road toward a successful career.
