Special Education Residency
Program Overview
The Special Education Residency Licensure Certificate provides the coursework and
training needed to develop the pedagogical skills required for licensure as a Special
Education teacher in North Carolina. This program is designed for individuals seeking
to enter the teaching profession and support students with diverse learning needs.
Requirements
- Completion of required pre-service training
- Passing state-required assessments
- Meeting the criteria outlined in the North Carolina Teacher Evaluation System
