Preparation for the Medical Scribe Certification Exam (MSCE)
After passing the MSCE, your career path depends on your experience:
If you have less than 200 hours of scribe experience, you can earn the Apprentice Medical Scribe (AMSP) credential.
If you have 200 or more hours of experience, you can earn the Certified Medical Scribe Professional (CMSP) credential.
Once you reach 200 hours, you can upgrade from AMSP to CMSP by submitting verification from your supervisor through our website.
Becoming a certified medical scribe opens doors to entry-level jobs in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings, and is a great first step into the medical field.
