Courses Offered

Intro to Gunsmithing

In this course, you’ll learn how to make simple tools and gauges used in gunsmithing. You’ll follow blueprints to create tools and fixtures using hand tools and basic machine setups.

128 Hours -  Learn the fundamentals of hand tools, blueprint reading, and basic machinery. Focus on creating simple gauges and tools essential for gunsmithing.

Firearm Refinishing

In this course, you’ll learn how to improve the look and feel of firearms using metals, wood, and synthetic materials. You’ll explore the aesthetics and finishing techniques that make each firearm unique.

128 Hours - Delve into refinishing techniques for metals, woods, and synthetic materials. Gain proficiency in synthetic bedding of stocks, metal polishing, bluing, and heat treatment processes.

Basic Gunsmith Maintenance

Start Your Firearms Training with the Basics

This beginner-level course is perfect if you’re just getting started with firearms. You’ll learn basic firearm safety, understand the parts of a gun, and how they work.

48 hours - Ideal for beginners, this course covers firearm safety, anatomy, inspection, disassembly, assembly, and proper cleaning techniques.

Gunsmith Toolmaking

In this course, you’ll discover how machining is used in the gunsmithing industry. You’ll learn to make your own gunsmithing tools and practice important skills like measuring, layout, drilling, sawing, turning, and milling.

You’ll also learn how to work safely with machines and tools used in firearm manufacturing and repair. By the end of the course, you’ll have the basic machining skills every gunsmith needs.

128 Hours -  Focus on machining operations relevant to gunsmithing, including safety protocols, measuring tools, blueprint reading, and the use of various machines. Students will manufacture essential tools and perform fundamental machining tasks.

Gunsmith Fundamentals

In this course, you’ll learn the latest materials and gunsmithing techniques used in today's firearm manufacturing. You'll explore how different materials work, when to use them, and what tools you need—especially when working with modern Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines.

128 Hours - Explore advanced materials and techniques in gun manufacturing, with an emphasis on CNC machinery applications. Develop competencies in modern gunsmithing practices, including synthetic stock bedding, metal finishing, and adherence to industry standards.

Gunsmith Welding & Metallurgy

In this course, you’ll learn how to use welding and heat treating equipment to make professional firearm repairs. You'll get hands-on experience with different welding and soldering techniques, and you'll learn how to choose the right method based on the type of material you're working with.

102 Hours -  Prepare to operate welding and heat treatment equipment for firearm repairs. Engage in various welding and soldering processes, understanding material properties and applications.
