Computed Tomography

Program Overview

The Computed Tomography (CT) program equips students with the skills to operate specialized equipment, capturing detailed images of the human body to assist physicians in diagnosing diseases.

Individuals entering this curriculum must be registered or registry-eligible radiologic technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

This program is a partnership between Johnston Community College and Edgecombe Community College.

Career Opportunities

Graduates may be eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Advanced-Level testing in Computed Tomography. They may find employment in facilities which perform these imaging procedures.

  • Certification Eligibility - May qualify you to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Advanced-Level Exam in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Potential to work in hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, and other facilities that perform CT imaging procedures.
