Birth-K Residency Licensure

Program Overview

The Birth Through Kindergarten Residency Certificate curriculum prepares future educators with the knowledge, practical experience, and teaching skills needed to support children from birth through kindergarten. Through coursework focused on child development, early learning, and classroom practice, students build the competencies required for certification.

Requirements

  • Completion of required pre-service training
  • Passing state-required assessments
  • Meeting the criteria outlined in the North Carolina Teacher Evaluation System
