Program Overview

In this program, you'll complete at least 60 semester hours of courses. These courses include subjects like reading, writing, speaking, math, and computer skills. You'll also take classes in natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. This mix helps you build the knowledge and skills needed for a teaching career in STEM fields.

What You'll Learn

Completing this program shows your dedication to becoming a teacher in STEM subjects. It prepares you for further studies and helps you develop critical thinking and communication skills that are valuable in the classroom.

These classes help you understand educational theories, teaching methods, and how to support students with different learning needs.

After finishing the program, you can transfer to a university to continue your education and work toward your teaching license. To transfer with junior status, you need to earn a grade of "C" or better in each course and have a GPA of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale. Keep in mind that getting into a university's education program can be competitive, so meeting these requirements doesn't guarantee admission.
