Johnston Community College is proud to share that its Nurse Aide I Program recently underwent an official accreditation site visit by representatives from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The program not only passed with flying colors, but received the highest honors.
Following a thorough review, the program was awarded full accreditation for the next two years, with no deficiencies identified.
The DHHS accreditors were so impressed with the program’s operations, instruction, and outcomes that they designated it a Best Practices Program. This designation recognizes JCC’s Nurse Aide I program as a model for excellence and innovation in Nurse Aide education across the state. They noted JCC’s exceptionally high pass rates, which rank among the top in North Carolina.
The JCC team has been invited to present at upcoming statewide meetings and collaborate with other Nurse Aide programs in North Carolina.
“This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our talented faculty and staff. Their commitment to student success and program excellence continues to elevate Johnston Community College on a statewide level,” said Connie Grady, dean of continuing education health science programs.
