The College does not provide housing; students must arrange their own.
Application Deadlines
Fall Semester: March 1
Spring Semester: September 1
Applications without all required documents by the deadline will not be processed.
A certified copy of the original educational records, to include all previous academic experiences, is required. If the original copy of this record is written in a non-English language, a certified English translation is required.
TEC is our recommended international transcript evaluation service. They have created a custom application for Johnston Community College that will make sure you select the right kind of evaluation at a discounted rate. Start your application by visiting the The Evaluation Company.
Applicants must have a financial sponsor who:
Completes all financial forms
Provides proof of ability to cover the full cost of attendance
Accepts full responsibility for supporting the student during their studies
Use the JCC Net Price Calculator to estimate annual costs.
In addition to completing all Admissions steps required of other applicants, International Students must also complete the following steps:
All applicants must submit a financial support statement along with an original letter from their bank or financial institution. This letter must confirm enough funds are available to cover tuition, books, fees, and living expenses (like housing, food, and transportation) for each year of study, including dependents.
Sponsors may be asked to provide wage or income statements to show ongoing financial support. Multiple sponsors are allowed, but each one must submit separate documentation unless they live in the same household.
U.S. sponsors can also submit an Affidavit of Financial Support. The college will not issue an I-20 until all financial documents are received and approved by the Designated School Official (DSO).
International students are required to meet with the Designated School Official each semester to verify courses and academic status.
