Nurse Aide I Program

Our Nurse Aide I course provides 160 hours of state-approved training, focusing on basic nursing skills required to deliver safe and competent personal care.

Upon completion, you'll be eligible to take the North Carolina State Certification Exam for listing on the Nurse Aide I Registry. ​


Nurse Aide II Program

Building upon the foundational skills from Nurse Aide I, the Nurse Aide II course offers 163 hours of advanced training.

Successful completion qualifies you for listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide II Registry. ​


Nurse Aid I Refresher

Refresh your skills and reestablish your credentials with JCC's Nurse Aide I Refresher Course.

Who Should Enroll?

  • Your Nurse Aide I Certification has expired within the last five years and have proof of previous certification.
  • You have an out-of-state Nurse Aide credential and wish to be listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry.

Steps to Program Admission

  1. Requirements

    High school diploma or GED

    Two forms of government matching IDs. ​(Drivers License with photo, social security card)

    Completion of Nurse Aide I

    Current listing on the N.C. Nurse Aide I Registry

    American Heart Association Basic Life Support card

    Stethoscope

    High school students must be 16 1/2 years old at or prior to the first day of class. (or is it High School students must be 17 years of age and in the final semester of their graduating year.)

     

  2. Estimated Program Costs

    Nurse Aide I: Approximately $708, covering tuition, background check and drug screening, books, uniform, immunizations, BLS class, and exam fees. ​

    Nurse Aide II: Approximately $625, covering tuition, background check and drug screening, advanced skills materials, uniform, and other essentials.

    Nurse Aide Refresher: Approximately $425, covering tuition, lab fee, skills packet, handbook, handouts, exam and American Heart Association card if need.
