Student Resources
Updated August 2, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
Beginning Monday, August 3rd, Johnston Community College will offer limited on-campus assistance for those who are unable to utilize virtual services to complete their Fall 2020 admissions, advising, and registration processes. In all cases in which a student is able, for the health and safety of our students, staff, and visitors, we encourage you to utilize our services over the phone or online. Appointment Plus will have many virtual advising appointments throughout the week. Information regarding our virtual services can be found HERE, however, our team is ready to assist those who must seek services in person.
Assistance will be available in the Student Success Center in the Tart building for admissions, financial aid, registration, and advising. Students may pay their bill online, but for those who prefer to pay in person, the Cashier’s Office in the Wilson building will be available. Students may pick up parking decals while on campus by completing our vehicle decal request form, prior to arriving. Upon completion of the form, students can pick up parking decals at the Box Office in the Tart building by presenting their student ID. Student IDs will be made for new students in the Learning Resource Center in the Library.
All students, new and current, coming to campus for assistance with Fall 2020 admissions, advising, and registration processes will check in at the Tart building lobby and may be asked to wait in their vehicle or the Tart lobby until called in to meet with a team member. All visitors are required to wear a mask and will be asked to submit to a temperature check upon entering the building. Please note, we will have limited staffing on campus during this time, so wait times may be longer than usual. As much as feasible, students should arrive without any additional guests.
Services will be available during the regular operational hours of the college, Monday 8 am- 6pm, Tuesday through Thursday 8 am- 5 pm, and Friday 8 am – 3pm. We ask for your patience and flexibility as we strive to offer the best possible customer service during this challenging time.
