Fire - Certifications/In-Service
Classes will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. each night as listed, in the Public Safety Service Complex, room J1230 on the Fire Service hallway.
- No student can miss more than 20% of any class and receive full credit, NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
- All students who are not affiliated with a department in Johnston County must have an affiliation letter, on Department letterhead with their Chief's signature and contact number.
All students MUST have a copy of one of the following texts:
- Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills,
Third Edition by Jones and Bartlett
- Essentials of Firefighting,
Sixth Edition by IFSTA/Brady
Registration will be the on the first night of class and allstudents must register on the first night.
High School Students
High School students MUST present a completed and signed Dual Enrollment form if the class occurs during school hours. This form must be presented to the instructor by the end of the first class attended, or they will be dropped from the roster.
