Fire Investigation and Fire Management, Firefighter training as well as continuing

JOHNSTON COUNTY BASIC FIREFIGHTER TRAINING
The Johnston County Basic Firefighter School will provide
an all hands on practical skill training. This 40 hours
of non-certification training is to prepare firefighters to perform
structural firefighting operations. This training will cover
the basic topics necessary to participate
in live fire evolutions and incidents.
Utilizing the latest tools, props, and
techniques students will be able to apply the skills they
learn in a live fire environment. The school will also include
Johnston County specific practices and procedures aimed
at producing firefighters capable of immediate utilization by
their local agency. This school is open to any firefighter in
North Carolina looking to develop their skills and abilities to
better serve their community.

Ladders on the fire ground
Fire hose handling
Johnston County Communications and Response
All Students enrolling in the Basic School
are required to be 18 years of age and a rostered member of a fire department.
Students will need full NFPA compliant PPE to include SCBA and 2 spare bottles.
The Fire Chief or Training Officer need to provide
the signed documentation for the firefighter to attend.
