Home Care Aide

Please read the orientation page carefully and take the post-test before following these steps.

This course provides advanced training for the Nurse Aide I. The course focuses on enhancing specific skills needed when working in the home care setting including person-centered care, nutrition/hydration, patient and personal safety, mental health, dementia, behavioral challenges, pain management, palliative care and stress management. Upon completion, students are eligible for listing as a home care nurse aide with the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry.

Online orientation post-test is not required for Home Care Aide

To enroll in this course, a student must show proof of being currently listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
