Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
All EMT students are required to attend 48 hours of clinical per NC OEMS requirements. AHA Healthcare Provider, EVOS, TIMS and NIMS certifications included.

Hybrid EMT classes
Students will complete the majority of didactic material online. Assignments will be posted each Monday and are due each Sunday; Students may work at their own pace throughout the course each week.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED or successful completion of an entrance exam assessing reading comprehension and English language skills at 11th grade level. Students must be 17 years of age prior to the end of class.
- Valid Driver’s License required for EVOS course; EVOS Certification required by NC OEMS.

Summer EMT Academy information will be posted to the website in March, 2023. The summer EMT course will be offered in an academy format with classes being held Monday-Thursday, 8:30-5:30 for a period of approximately 8 weeks. Summer Academy will begin in June and end in August, 2023.
