Cardiovascular Technician (EKG)

This 112 hour course prepares individuals with skills to deliver safe and competent patient care in analyzing heart rhythms and performing EKGs. This course is designed to provide individual with critical thinking and problem solving knowledge to use in everyday practice.

Course work includes classroom and simulations practice and clinical rotations.

Upon satisfactory completion of this entire course, students will be allowed to take the written and skills competency for National ASPT EKG Certification exam.

Prerequisites

  1. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certified.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent / High School Transcript.
  3. Two matching government ID cards (Photo current driver’s license/social security card/military or passport).
