BSAC (Basic School Age Care)

Johnston Community College is the first college in North Carolina to offer BSAC on-line. The state of North Carolina requires BSAC training for school-age professionals who plan and ensure the implementation of daily activities or supervise groups of school-age children in licensed child care programs.

Course Information

Course Description

School age care providers are crucial to the development of children and youth into successful, competent adults. BSAC and it's accompanying materials including the participant guide manual have been developed to assist these providers in their important work.

IMPORTANT : NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN TO A STUDENT WHO IS TAKING A SELF-SUPPORTING CLASS. (Example: A class with SEF code).

Intended Audience

Early Childhood & After-school care program teachers & administrators and other professionals working with school-age children.
