Program Description
One of the fastest growing career paths in Johnston County and nationally is Supply Chain Management! We are excited to announce that this is a new curriculum will be offered in the 2022 Spring semester. Come be a part of this journey that will open your horizons to places across the globe and expand your knowledge to many disciplines – which are in great demand!
The Supply Chain Management curriculum prepares individuals for a multitude of career opportunities in distribution, transportation, warehousing, supply chain, and manufacturing organizations. Course work includes the international and domestic movement of goods from the raw materials source(s) through production and ultimately to the consumer. Courses in transportation, warehousing, inventory control, material handling, purchasing, computerization, supply chain operations and federal transportation and OSHA regulations are emphasized. Graduates should qualify for positions in a wide range of logistics related positions in government agencies, manufacturing, and service organizations. Employment opportunities include entry level purchasing, material management, warehousing, inventory, transportation, international freight, and logistics analysts. Upon completion, graduates may be eligible to pursue highly sought-after professional credentials through APICS, AST&L, CSCMP, and ISM.
All you need is a desire to further your career and expanding your understanding of where products are made, how they make their journey across the globe, and how they ultimately get to consumers. Organization skills and time management are essential, and any prior experience in the field is helpful, but not required.
Anyone who wants to earn an Associate’s Degree or take Continuing Education that will give you an advantage over other candidates, or accelerate your career in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Transport companies. Common Positions in this field are:

Additionally, we have strong alliances with local companies that need Supply Chain and Operations leaders.
Graduates of the Supply Chain Management, depending upon their previous employment history, can expect to earn a starting salary of $49,000 for supervisor/analyst level positions and $69,000 for junior managers.
The Associates Degree program is two years (4 Semesters) Estimated cost = $6000 for tuition, fees and books; Continuing Education Supply Chain (Basic) is 16 hours of on-line instruction (over 4 days, 4 hours per day); Cost = about $75 plus materials [if you will have a book or anything else they need to purchase]
