High School Equivalency (GED)

High School Equivalency (HSE) courses prepare learners to pass a designated set of high school equivalency tests. These courses are delivered in a seated format or online pending availability.

HSE assessments are designed to measure and indicate knowledge equivalent to a graduating high school senior. Students in North Carolina may choose to test via GED®, HiSet®, or TASC. Upon completion, a High School Equivalency Diploma is issued by the North Carolina Community College System.

Minors must enroll into the Basic Skills Program before taking any of the official tests.
