A Policy is an official statement approved by the Johnston Community College Board of Trustees, which aligns with state code and federal law, to be followed by the college’s employees, students, and/or visitors.  Each policy is created and revised to establish the general guidance needed to ensure the success of the College and its students. 


A Procedure is a detailed methodology or process, approved by the Administrative Council, regulating actions and detailing instructions to provide guidance in a proper manner or order.
