JCC Receives $50,000 In Tobacco Trust Funding

Johnston Community College has received funding in the amount of $50,000 from the N.C. Tobacco Trust Fund Commission (TTFC) in support of Johnston County Works.
Johnston County Works will provide short-term training leading to employment for individuals adversely affected by changes in the agriculture and tobacco industry.
Scholarships to cover registration/tuition and books and expenses associated with programs such as Biowork training, computer classes, plumbing, human services, truck driver training, nursing assistant certification as well as many other short term training opportunities offered at Johnston Community College
