Lassiter, Rich Are September's Outstanding Employees

Each month, employees at JCC nominate faculty and staff members as employees of the month. Nominees are selected by a random drawing.
In September, Lisa Rich, administrative assistant for business and advanced technologies, and Charlene Lassiter, medical assisting instructor, were selected for their outstanding work.
Here's a little more information about Lisa and Charlene, their jobs at JCC, and their interests outside of work.
Charlene R. Lassiter
Title: Medical Assisting Instructor
Number of years worked at JCC: 10 years
Education: Associate Applied Science Medical Assisting, AAMA Certification
Family: Married to Danny Lassiter for 34 years. Two daughters with two beautiful grandchildren
Community of residence: Four Oaks
Civic/community involvement: Alzheimer's Awareness & Support
What do you like to do in your spare time?: Take care of my parents both whom have Alzheimer's Disease and reside in a nursing home. I love the beach and spending time with my grandchildren Carlee and Landon.
Favorite TV show: The Voice
If you could invite one person to dinner, who would it be?: Donald Trump
What do you like most about your job and working at JCC?: I like being able to make a difference in someone's life and helping them become all they can be. Working with such a great team of faculty and staff here in the Health, Wellness and Human Services division makes my job so much easier.

Family: Married for two years to husband Travis and we have a beautiful son, Ethan.
Community of residence: Wayne County
What do you like to do in your spare time?: I love to read, play with my son, and play computer games.
Favorite TV show: Game of Thrones
If you could invite one person to dinner, who would it be?: I would invite Gordon Ramsey and have him cook me dinner.
What do you like most about your job and working at JCC?: I enjoy working with the awesome people in my division and across JCC.
