Breakfast Event Features Marketing, Business, and Health PartnersPublished: February 22, 2019
Event hosted by the JCC Foundation drew more than 125 business professionals.
Johnston Community College celebrated its Breakfast before Business event Feb. 7.
Keynote speakers Corey and Keegan Rush of Blue Pack Marketing highlighted the event. The Keegan brothers are a Johnston County success story experiencing tremendous growth in just five years of starting their Clayton company.
Since 2014, Blue Pack Marketing is responsible for over $100 million in sales through e-commerce, wholesale, and additional initiatives.
During the event, the Rush brothers shared a snapshot of their knowledge in brand development and digital marketing. They encouraged those in attendance to evaluate their web sites and social media channels and maximize their usage as marketing tools for their product.
“Make your social and web site a priority, Corey Rush said. “If you have a chance take that day out of your week and assess it, see how it looks, see how it feels.”
“Everything we do is based upon data, it’s not our opinion, it’s not us as young entrepreneurs, everything is data and analytics,” Keegan Rush said.
Also during the event, JCC named Studio TK as its 2018 Business and Industry Partner of the Year and Springbrook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as its 2018 Health Partner of the Year.
Studio TK has dedicated hundreds of hours in collaboration with JCC faculty and staff to educate students in innovative manufacturing. Employees at StudioTK have provided tours for students in the Skills Academy; participated in Manufacturing Week; as well as served as advisors for multiple college committees.
Studio TK is helping to change the culture of work. With an exclusive focus on social applications, the company is creating spaces that are responsive to all the ways people work and all that work demands.
In 2017, Springbrook became one of JCC’s clinical sites for nurse aid students. Springbrook has also enrolled employees in direct care basic courses at JCC as well as established a scholarship that will fund employees training from nurse aid to registered nurse.
Cut lines: Lyn Austin, chair of the JCC Board of Trustees, and Mike Mancuso, president and CEO of Triangle East Chamber of Commerce attended the breakfast.
Reprensentatives of Studio TK accepted their 2018 Business and Industry Partner of the Year Award.
