medical supplies and equipment to aid in the education of our students. “The department
has also been generous in loaning radios, heart monitors, ambulances and other equipment
for training exercises when needed,” stated Dr. David Johnson, JCC President.

and training opportunities in emergency medical services.
They also support and encourage new ideas in workforce development, such as providing
EMT classes at the high school level. Engaging students early it vital to fulfilling
the need of our workforce for years to come.
Representatives from Johnston County Emergency Medical Services were Chief Dan Gagne, Kevin Hubbard, Josh Holloman, Brad Baker, and Billy Langston.
Grifols has been a longstanding partner with Johnston Community College. Together,
JCC and Grifols, build curricula for current and future employees of Grifols and surrounding
industry leaders. In 2018, the two groups worked alongside each other to create the
Johnston County Apprenticeship Program.
Grifols has donated equipment and supplies to JCC at both the Workforce Development Center and Advanced Technology Center for student learning. They also continue to support the JCC Foundation in providing annual scholarships to current Johnston Community College students.
During the event, Dr. Johnson expressed the importance of JCC’s relationship with leading industries. “We are building the future of Johnston County and our workforce. Working cohesively has the potential to fulfill the needs of our county.”
