11 Earn BLET Certification from JCC

Eleven students graduated from Johnston Community College’s Basic Law Enforcement
Training (BLET) program on May 6.
The 17-week certification program is designed to give students essential skills required for entry-level employment as law enforcement officers with state, county, or municipal governments with private enterprise.
N.C. Attorney General Josh Stein was the graduation speaker. Stein congratulated the graduates on their accomplishment and thanked them for choosing a career in law enforcement.
“Entering the field of law enforcement is not a choice yhat one makes easily,” he
said. “It’s hard work, it’s dangerous work and it’s often underappreciated work but
more importantly it’s important work and meaningful work.”
The following students earned their BLET certification: Robert Nelson Brewer of Benson; Michael Andrew Bridgeman of Godwin; Kelsey Areshan Dawson of Dunn; Preston Etheal Ford III of Clayton; Stephon Edward Fuentes of Richlands; Brandon Anthony Logue of Clayton; Gregory Michael Morris of Clayton; Jonathan Rodriguez of Garner; Aubrey Beth Sarver of Pine Level; Eileen Eva Sinclair of Four Oaks; and John Richard Stankiewicz of Clayton.
