Five continuing education students at Johnston Community College were recently awarded scholarships by the State Employees Credit Union.

The scholarships in the amount of $500 will pay the tuition for students enrolled in a short-term training program that leads to a state-regulated or industry-recognized credential that is offered through continuing education programs at the college. Students who qualify must be unemployed or underemployed, military veterans or members of the national guard and not be a director, employee, or immediate family member of an employee of the SECU.
