JCC and the Smithfield- Selma Chamber of Commerce showed their Jaguar pride during a Business After Hours Tuesday night at the Smithfield Recreation and Aquatics Center.

Coordinated by the JCC Foundation and the chamber, the event was held from 5 to 7 p.m. during double headers for the men's and women's basketball teams.

The Jaguars hosted Brunswick Community College and came up short in both match-ups but both teams continue to build and make progress on the hardwood.

Mariah Wall was the high scorer of the night for the Lady Jaguars with 8 points. Montrell Plummer put the Jaguars on his back scoring a game high 24 points and knocking down six 3-point shots on the night. He was joined by Kisheem Faison, who finished with 11 points.

The Jaguars have back-to-back home games Friday and Saturday. The women take on Patrick Henry CC at 5 p.m. and the men go up against Methodist JV at 7 p.m.

Both teams will battle rival Fayetteville Tech Community College Saturday, which is also JCS Spirit Day. JCS students and employees are admitted to the game free with their student or employee ID. Women tip at 1 p.m. and men take the court at 3 p.m.
