Breeden And Sawrey Join JCC Trustees, Daniels Is Reappointed

Johnston Community College welcomed two new trustees and reappointed another at its July board meeting.
Jonathan Breeden of Clayton is an attorney in the Cleveland community and helps clients in the areas of family law, criminal defense, estate matters, and contracts.
Breeden earned his bachelor's degree in political science from N.C. State University and his law degree from Campbell University.
He is also a member of the Greater Cleveland Athletic Association Board of Directors and Crossroads Civitan. He was appointed to
a four-year term to the board by Johnston County Schools.
Breedin said he is a firm believer in the community college mission and is excited about serving as a trustee. "This is a true honor for me, and I look forward to what I can do to help," he said. "I truly believe JCC is the best economic development engine we have in Johnston County."
He and his wife, Beth, have two children and live in Clayton.
A native of Smithfield, Benton Sawrey practices law with the Smithfield firm Narron, O'Hale & Whittington. He was appointed to a four-year term on the college board by Gov. Pat McCrory.
Sawrey earned his bachelor's degree in political science from N.C. State University and his law degree from the University of South Carolina. He is also a member of the Downtown Smithfield Development Corp.
Sawrey and his wife, Elizabeth, recently moved back to Johnston County and have settled in Clayton.
"Smithfield and Johnston County have been important to me and my family for a long time,"Sawrey said. "I'm excited about giving back to an institution that means so much to us and this community."
Hank Daniels of Smithfield was reappointed to his second-term as a college trustee by the Johnston County Board of Commissioners. He is a certified public accountant and owner of Sleep Inn and Super 8 hotels in Smithfield.
