16 Graduate from BLET at JCC

Program gives students skills for entry-level employment as law enforcement officers.

Sixteen students graduated from Johnston Community College's Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program on May 8.

The 17-week certification program is designed to give students essential skills required for entry-level employment as law enforcement officers with state, county, or municipal governments with private enterprise.

The following students earned their BLET certification Daryle Meadows Jr. of Angier; Charles Edward Eason Jr. of Smithfield; Michael Simon of Clayton; Trevor Shattuck of Clayton; Daniel Bailey of Zebulon; Joseph Martin of Selma; Monique Joyner of Selma; Kiana Williams of Smithfield; Amber Evans of Benson; Matthew Philpot of Selma; Carmen Hicks of Garner; Erik Martinez of Benson; Peter Severance of Smithfield; Taylor Heath of La Grange; Kaycee Auton of Benson; Miguel Renteria of Smithfield.
