Geocaching 101 - Discover the world's largest treasure hunt, geocaching! After an introduction, you will get to use GPS units and maps to play a game of geocaching hide-and-seek! ($5) Saturday, September 10th: 1pm - 2pm
Owl Safari - Join us as we search for the elusive Barred Owl. We will introduce raptors, visit our Birds of Prey exhibit, and then take a truck ride to search for these nocturnal creatures! ($5) Monday, September 19th: 7pm - 9pm, Monday, October 24th: 6:30pm - 8:30pm, Monday, November 21st: 5pm - 7pm, Monday, December 12th: 5pm - 7pm
Signs of Wildlife - Come as we discuss the different signs of wildlife, including tracks, furs, and
skulls. We will then take a trail walk and get to take an animal track mold home with
you! ($5) Saturday, November 5th: 1pm - 2pm
TACO Week: Nature Play Day - We are celebrating TACO (Take A Child Outside) Week by offering a Nature Play Day!
Meet us at our Nature Play Space for a morning of fun activities and outdoor play!

Community Science - Fall Series Join us as we introduce a variety of citizen science projects this Fall! Each project will focus on collecting data of the natural world and can be done anywhere! ($5) Dragonfly Watch: Thursday, September 15th: 1pm - 2pm, eBird: Thursday, October 20th: 1pm - 2pm, ecoEXPLORE: Thursday, November 17th: 1pm - 2pm, Feeder Watch: Thursday, December 8th: 1pm - 2pm
Fall Leaves - Join us as we celebrate the autumn season! We will discuss why leaves change color, some common species, and then go on a leaf hunt to make leaf sculptures and art with! ($5) Saturday, October 15th: 1pm - 2pm
Longleaf Living - Take a hike with us as we show off one of our many conservation projects, reintroducing
longleaf pines! We will discuss its life cycle, the habitat it provides, and more!
($5) Saturday, December 3rd: 1pm - 2pm
Winter Solstice Walk - Happy first day of Winter! Join Howell Woods staff as we discuss what the winter
solstice is and then take a nature walk down one of our trails, searching for hibernating
animals! ($5) Wednesday, December 21st: 12pm - 1pm
