Effective Teacher Training for Substitute Teachers
The Effective Teacher Training for Substitute Teachers (12 Hours) course is designed to fulfill the requirement of the Johnston County Board of Education to be a Substitute Teacher within Johnston County Public Schools. Potential students should check with Human Resources at other school districts to be sure they accept this certificate in their district before registering for this course.
Would you like to be a substitute in the public schools, but you've never had training? This course provides training in presentation skills, learning expectations, monitoring student interactions, social interactions, and time management.
Pre-registration at least seven days before the beginning of the class is required. Online class is limited to 30 people.
*Johnston County Public Schools has approved on-line training. Students interested in substituting in other counties should inquire with LEAs (Local Education Agencies).
- Registration Fee = $75
- Class is held asynchronously, online, so you must have access to computer and reliable internet service during the 2-weeks of this course.
