Pastry Classes

Requirements for each class:

Participants are required to bring a hat, preferably a hair net, to wear while in the kitchen that will restrain hair away from your shoulders. Optional materials include an apron, and containers to take home your baked goods. Participants are welcome to take a break with their own food, snacks, and drinks.

Class Registration Fee: $85.00

Unless otherwise noted, classes are held at the JCC Arboretum from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm on the date(s) listed.

These fun pastry workshops are fully immersive and fast-paced!


Royal Icing Sugar Cookies—St. Patrick's Day & Easter! - March 10, 2024

One-day class on how to make custom decorated Royal icing sugar cookies, focusing on St. Patrick's Day and Easter themes.  Participants will learn how to prepare a creaming method sugar cookie dough and royal icing, and how to decoratively finish their baked cookies!  Participants will also learn how to properly set up and sanitize their workstations and use a digital food scale for prepping their formulas.  Please be prepared for a fully immersive, hands-on & action-packed day of baking fun!

French Macarons Workshop - April 7, 2024

One-day class on how to make classic French Macarons!  Participants will learn how to prepare French-method Macarons, in addition to two fillings (ganache and swiss buttercream).  Participants will also learn how to properly set up and sanitize their workstations and use a digital food scale for prepping their formulas.  Please be prepared for a fully immersive, hands-on & action-packed day of baking fun!
