Medical Assisting Review Continuing Education (MED 3008)

This course is designed to allow students the opportunity to refresh information needed in order to take the Certification Exam through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

The course will refresh students with the work duties aligned with the role of a Medical Assistants in the areas of administrative, clinical and Laboratory services.

Upon completion, students should be prepared to sit for the AAMA certification exam based on the review of the materials covered. This course is designed as a preparatory review.

This course is 50 contact hours and available completely online through Blackboard for 8 weeks.

Prerequisites

  • Two matching government ID Cards (Photo driver's license/social security card)
  • Students must be in the last semester of their Medical Assistant program, OR
  • Students may have graduated from a diploma Medical Assisting program.
