Picture Framing: Readymades 1 class

Picture Framing: Readymades I is a beginner-level class for anyone who wants to learn picture framing basics for works of art on paper (photographs, diplomas, watercolors, drawings, etc.) Prior experience in picture framing is not necessary.

Class objectives include:
  • Framing artworks utilizing readymade frames, which are premade frames that can be purchased from a store, or online.
  • Measuring artwork and hand-cutting mats.
  • Choosing mat colors, and how to design a framed artwork.
  • Cutting and handling glass.
  • Fitting, closing, and wiring framed artwork to create a finished ready-to-hang piece.
  • Registration Fees: $75
This course will meet for three-sessions. Classes will be held at the Cleveland Campus at 9046 Cleveland Rd. Clayton, NC 27520.
