Chosen Name Process

Change your chosen first name at JCC:
JCC will allow a student to request a preferred first name for display in Blackboard, Self Service, and student email account.
If a student wishes to submit a request for a preferred name update, the student can do so by submitting the Preferred Name Change Request Form. This form is solely for chosen first name request. The legal name will only be changed in accordance with College policy.
The College reserves the right to deny a chosen name if it exceeds any technical software limitation or is regarded as inappropriate. A student may request a chosen first name up to two times.
