Academic Progress

Each student enrolled in a degree, diploma, or certificate program is expected to maintain satisfactory progress toward completion of requirements for the degree, diploma, or certificate.

At the end of each semester, the student's semester GPA and cumulative GPA will be reviewed. To be considered making satisfactory academic progress, a student must maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA related to the number of credit hours attempted.

Cumulative grade point average will be used to determine each student's academic progress and status at the College. This average is applicable also for purposes of certification to the Veterans Administration; Social Security Administration; State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services; student grants, scholarships, institutional loans, and other college financial aid; and other public and private agencies authorized to receive this information.

Additional academic progress standards are required for students who are receiving financial aid. This information
may be found in the "Student Development Services" section of this catalog under the Financial Aid heading.
