Presidential Announcement from the Board Chair

Dear Jaguar Community,

The Board of Trustees is excited to tell you that that Dr. Vern Lindquist has accepted our offer to become JCC’s next president and the state Board of Community Colleges approved our decision.

We cannot thank all of you enough for your participation in our efforts to find JCC’s next leader. We are eternally grateful for your feedback and commitment to the process.

As you might recall, Dr. Lindquist comes to us from Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois where he served as Vice President of Academics at Lincoln Land for five years. He also has nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, including almost two decades in the classroom.

He and his wife Lisa have been married for 35 years and have two grown children. Please extend a warm Jaguar welcome to them when they arrive. Dr. Lindquist is set to assume his duties on January 16, 2023.
