Frequently Asked Questions at The Writing Center
How can I get help with my grammar?
A Writing Tutor/Specialist shows students how to strengthen the body of the paper through revision, re-arrangement or omission, also known as structural editing.
The Writing Tutor/Specialist does not edit for grammar, spelling or punctuation. If the Tutor/Specialist notices that a type of grammatical error repeats itself (for example, fragments, run-ons or pronoun agreement errors). The Tutor/Specialist will point these out and direct you to the appropriate sections in the Penguin Handbook.
