TRiO Tutorial Services

In the spring of 2011, over 98% of students being tutoring passed the courses for which they received tutoring.

Tutoring is a large component of our program. Its purpose is to assist students in problem areas of their studies and guide them with study skills improvement.
Tutors are not instructors, but they provide resources to help students learn a healthy learning process.

Ms. Brenda Peedin, TRiO’s Tutor Coordinator is a Certified Tutor Trainer with the National Tutoring Association. TRiO tutoring services are offered by tutors who have earned the National Tutoring Certification. TRiO typically has four tutors who are Nationally Certified.



We offer assistance in all developmental courses as well as a wide variety of curriculum courses. Some of the courses for which students can be tutored include:

• English
• Reading
• Accounting
• Math
• Biology
• Spanish
• And others!
