Project WILD
Project WILD is one of the most widely-used conservation and environmental education programs among educators of students in kindergarten through high school. It is based on the premise that young people and educators have a vital interest in learning about our natural world. This free six hour workshop with optional homework (to complete a total of 10 hours) flies by as you play games, do group activities, and practice hands-on methods of teaching core curricular concepts. Interdisciplinary in nature, Project WILD is highly suited to the K-5 classroom and comes with an abundance of upper grade level lessons useful in a science and civics classroom, and integrated learning setting. Join Regional Education Specialist with the Wildlife Resources Commission and long-time curriculum specialist, for a day of making it all ‘fun-and-games’ (while we just so happen to get our work done).
