PREP for Precalculus!

Dates: June 19-22 and 26-29 ~~~ 2 Week Camp
Cost: $200
Time: 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Campers: Rising 9th - 12th Graders
Location: JCC STEAM Bldg B126

Get ahead of the game! This camp uses intentional strategies through adaptive learning modules to build, strengthen and promote students’ mathematical knowledge. In addition, highly skilled faculty will provide support and expert guidance to improve depth of knowledge, giving you the edge for studies in future math courses necessary for success in JCC’s Associates in Engineering! This an exciting and innovative math program designed to help students achieve their maximum academic performance in key mathematics concepts for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) achievement. 

Campers may bring a bottled drink, bag lunch and snacks.

Bad to the Bones: CSI Camp

Campers: Rising 7th - 9th Graders

Chefs in Training!

Dates: July 10-13
Cost: $100
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Campers: Rising 5th & 6th Graders
Location: JCC Workforce Development Center, Clayton

Chefs in Training camp teaches your kids to have fun, eat healthy, develop or hone their cooking skills, and experiment in the kitchen all in a fun way while expanding their culinary palate. Campers will learn basic cooking techniques from an experienced chef. Ask questions, experiment with tastes, but most of all have FUN. Throughout the week, campers will learn culinary techniques from a chef and cook their own lunch each day.

Campers should bring an apron during the days of the camp.

CodeAthon! for the Beginner

Dates: July 10-13
Cost: $125 Time: 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Campers: Rising 9th - 12th Graders
Location: JCC STEAM Bldg B126

Show your programming skills!  Experience lots of fun operating the JoCo RoBos robot BLT! Show the CRASHcamp that through skilled programming you can conquer any obstacle in your path. This camp will enhance your programming skills using LabView, a graphical programming platform used by most High School teams in the annual FIRST Robotics Competitions. Reprogram this year’s JoCo RoBos robot Brave Little Toaster (BLT) to overcome obstacles designed and fabricated by the CRASHcamp.

CodeAthon! is appropriate for those interested in programming and robotics. Campers should bring a 8GB or larger flash drive in order to back up their programs. Students should bring a bag lunch each day. Refrigeration is provided. Snack and drink machines, as well as a microwave are provided. Students should wear comfortable clothes and closed toed shoes.

CRASHcamp! for the Beginner

Time: 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Campers: Rising 9th - 12th Graders

Demonstrate your mechanical skills! Students will have the experience of a lifetime building a robotics obstacle course through reading orthographic drawings, exploring CAD designs, 3D printing and much more. Challenge the Roadrunner’s 2017 robot BLT to its fullest with your most complex course obstacles. Inspire-Create-Design-Build! Projects will emphasize Technology, Engineering and Mathematics skills while exploring various engineering disciplines. Whatever obstacles you build, BLT will prevail.

CRASHcamp!is appropriate for students with good mechanical skills/interest in developing those skills, hands-on trades. Campers should bring a 8GB or larger flash drive in order to back up their programs. Students should bring a bag lunch each day. Refrigeration is provided. Snack and drink machines, as well as a microwave are provided. Students should wear comfortable clothes and closed toed shoes.
