Sanctioned curriculum clubs (i.e., Paralegal Club, Advertising and Graphic Design Club, etc.) are funded on a pro-rata basis with Student Activity fees. In order for a club to be sanctioned:
Clubs other than curriculum (ex: Phi Theta Kappa) may be sanctioned but are not entitled to pro-rata disbursement of student activity monies.
The pro-rata amount for program clubs is $4 per semester per full-time day student enrolled in the program of study when the club is active. Example: the Nursing program has 30 students attending full-time during the day fall semester. They have met the requirements to be considered a sanctioned club. The funding formula would be: $4 x 30 = $120.
The pro-rata amount for Truck Driver Training students equals the cost of their graduation breakfast or lunch up to $10 per student.
Funding for all club events will follow the requirements and procedures established by the college for expenditure of "special funds."
