Student Government Association

The Student Government Association exists to:

• promote good relations and understanding among students, administration, faculty, and trustees;
• unify the student body in the development of self-government and good citizenship; and
• set high ethical standards for students through responsible conduct.

The SGA is the primary campus student organization. Duly constituted to represent the interest of students, the SGA gives direction to student life beyond the classroom. It is responsible for developing and administering the annual Student Activities Fund Budget that supports the student activities program.

The Student Government Constitution is published in the JCC Catalog and the Student Handbook. The President of the Student Government Association serves as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the Board of Trustees.
