Personal Enrichment - Sewing/Quilting

There are no fee exemptions allowed for self-supporting courses. The registration fee must be paid by all class participants. Registration fees vary depending upon cost of the course and minimum enrollment of students. No refunds are permitted for withdrawal from self-supporting courses unless the course is canceled by the College. Self-supporting courses are noted by (SS) beside the class title.

Course Schedule

Quilting (32 Hrs) (SS*)

This class is for those of you with sewing machine experience. We will be making a quilt from start to finish. We will reinforce rotary cutting, fabric selection, quilting techniques, mastering the quarter inch seams, pressing and using the right tools. Pre-registration is required.

Quilting Basics (24 Hrs)

Discover the art of quilting. This class is for the beginner, with some sewing experience. You will learn fabric selections, rotary cutting, piecing and quilting techniques.
Pre-registration is required.

Redwork (4 Hrs) (SS*)

Redwork is back! Sit and stitch with new friends. Redwork is a form of embroidery that can be used to decorate quilt blocks, tea towels, pillowcases, aprons, and more. Learn techniques and tricks that come from years of wisdom passed down through the generations.

Sewing for the Whole Family (6 Hrs)

Have you been putting off learning how to use that sewing machine? Now is your chance! This introductory sewing class is open to anyone of any age, so bring the whole family, and learn a new skill together.
