Reflecting upon my choice to attend Johnston Community College, I realize that I am succeeding for several reasons.  The intimate campus size has provided the opportunity for me to get involved in extracurricular activities such as Phi Theta Kappa and the Literary Guild.

The instructors here at JCC genuinely care and do all they can to help students who are struggling.  They also challenge us to reach higher, not to settle for anything less than our best.  They treat you like an individual with dreams and potential.  Through my classes, I have been inspired to write more and to write better.  I have been challenged to think and to consider the way I perceive life and the lessons therin.  I have learned to appreciate and take care of the environment.  So many people here have touched my life, and at 30 years old, I am at the best place in my life that I have ever been!
