Even though it is 80 miles from my home, Johnston Community College is the closest community college offering my program of study.  As an out-of-town student, it was difficult to know my whereabouts around the college.  One of JCC's instructors came to the rescue.  Since I live so far from the college, she offered to take the extra step to help me find a a place to stay as well as give me information on how to pay for my classes.  This impressed me to have someone go out of her way to help me find a place at JCC and become an active member of the student body.
